Back in 2009, the WHAT grant was extremely helpful to the Kindergarten team. It provided the necessary funding to begin our "Helping Hands" vegetable garden. These funds enabled us to gather all our initial supplies...gro lamps & bulbs, tools, potting soil, fertilizer, potting cups, seeds, etc. All vegetables grown by the kindergarten students are given to the Community Survival center. With the help of Graziano Gardens in East Longmeadow, our garden has been in existence for 7 years now.
